Co-Curricular Activities 2018-2019
A Drama Competition based on Conservation and Preservation of Environment was organized by the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur in November 2018. Students of Class XII put up a robust performance and won the first prize. The students not only played the roles to perfection but were also responsible for the able direction.
Students from classes VIII to XII took part with enthusiasm in the TCS sponsored Quiz Competition TCS ITWIZ.
With equal keenness they also participated at the useful workshop on “Safe Drive Save Life” held on August 08, 2018 at South City International School.
An English Essay Competition on the topic “Save Fuel for Better Environment and Health” organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India, evoked positive response from our students whose writings were sent online. Rupsa Chakraborty and Shreyan Dhar both of Class X were awarded “Best School Level Entry”.
Thirak Chhandam 2018 a Dance Competition organized by National High School on August 10, 2018 witnessed participation from students of classes XI and XII.
Students from classes V to IX took part in the invigorating Mathematics Quiz Competition entitled “MATHEMAZIC” and qualified for the finals on January 27, 2019, whose results are eagerly awaited.
The Amiya Gooptu Memorial Inter-School Table Tennis Championships took place on April 23, 2018 at Ballygunge Institute in which Class X students participated.
The Dakshin Kolkata District Table Tennis Association alongside Kolkata Police organized All Bengal Inter-school Table Tennis Championship from May 20, 2018 to May 22, 2018. Many Senior Students took part and found it an enrichening experience.
An Inter-school Table Tennis Tournament organized by the District Council for School Games and Sports, was held in August 2018. Abhinandan Das of Class XI became the Champion and made the school proud.
