In the pursuance of our objectives we strive to nurture an all round development of our students in Co-Scholastic activities in various fields i.e. sports & games, performing arts, art & literature, social services, general knowledge and intelligence etc.
Attention is paid towards the development of the students’ leadership qualities and extra-curricular talents through the House Activities. Every student (from Class III to XII) is allocated to one of the four Houses, viz., Jupiter, Mars, Mercury and Venus. Each child can represent his/her House in the Quiz, Debate, Extempore Speech, Elocution, Painting, Writing in intra-school competitions held regularly. The competitions are judged by the school teachers and points are given. These points are totaled at the end of the academic year and the winning House is awarded the Best House of the year trophy during the Annual Sports Meet.
We hold a Gala Annual Sports Meet every year in spacious stadium like Rabindra Sarovar Stadium and Gitanjali Stadium. Each and every student can take part in this competitive endeavour. We have in-house facilities for playing Carom, Table-Tennis, & Basket-ball. We depute our students to various competitive tournaments in Football, Cricket, Table-Tennis, Rowing etc.
Our boys and girls show their talents in writing, painting, photography etc. in our Annual Magazine UDVAS.
Every year we celebrate our Founders’ Day on 30th April. We also celebrate the Annual Function of our school. About one hundred and fifty students participate in various cultural programmes, usually held at Nazrul Mancha.
We also celebrate our Independence Day every year with due solemnity. A considerable number of students take part in various programmes.
A one day excursion, in groups, for students, is held every year. The children most naturally, enjoy this event in natural surroundings outside the school premises, being free from the classroom teaching. They are comfortably accommodated in 8 / 9 luxury buses.
The students are encouraged also to take part in various social activities including raising funds for reputed philanthropic organizations, taking part in various socially relevant functions in the locality etc. Their environmental awareness is nurtured through our Eco-club.
